Small Business Committee
The small business committee is made up of a diverse representation of passionate small business owners and leaders. The committee’s purpose is to foster growth and networking for small businesses through targeted programs, such as mentorships, campaigns, and grants. Committee members are charged with selecting and administering for our small business grant program as well. Additionally, the small business committee will work to be a resource to entrepreneurs to aid in their challenges and struggles associated with small business growth.
Majority of our Opelika Chamber members are small businesses, so this committee is one of the most important groups we have. The S.B.C. serves as the bridge between the small business community and the chamber. This bridge helps us work harder to ensure that the services we offer meet their needs. We are actively advocating for them with successful marketing campaigns like our “Keep the Cheer Here” campaign and our “Chocolate Crawl”.
